Junior Teaching Position at the Department of Communication Science

• Master’s degree in Communication Science or related study;
• affinity with teaching and interest in innovating and improving academic education;
• good understanding of research methods and techniques, as evidenced for example by a master’s thesis;
• experience with the programme R is preferred;
• be able to work well together within a team of teachers;
• you have (or are working towards) language proficiency at C1 level in Dutch and English;
• already based in the Netherlands.

We offer you:

• a salary of minimum € 3.546,00 (Scale 10) and maximum € 5.538,00 (Scale 10) gross per month, on a full-time basis. This is based on UFO profile Teacher 4. The exact salary depends on your education and experience.
• a position for at least 0.8 FTE. The contract will be for 4 years, including an approbation period.

About the department
The Department of Communication Science at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam comprises a multidisciplinary group of around 70 dedicated professionals. Driven by their passion for the field, they are committed to pioneering teaching and research. As a lecturer, you will play a key role in our teaching.
