We are looking for a recent graduate who wants to join our department as junior teacher, starting August 15th, 2026.
As a junior teacher you will be mainly involved in teaching in our Bachelor’s Programme in Communication Science, which has both an English and a Dutch track. Project-based learning and active teaching methods are key in our programme. Contact between teachers and students is important to us.

The Department of Communication Science at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam comprises a multidisciplinary group of around 70 dedicated professionals. Driven by their passion for the field, they are committed to pioneering teaching and research. As a lecturer, you will play a key role in our teaching. Coming up with creative solutions – ‘thinking outside the box’ – is highly valued within our department.
