Green
The campus square will be transformed into a green oasis. By 2025, the campus will be one of the largest green areas in the Zuidas. By greening the square and building good water management systems, we are responding to urban warming (hot summers) and creating a pleasant place to be.
Smoke-free
Working towards a better world is done in a healthy working environment. That is why the VU Campus is completely smoke-free. This is how we contribute to a smoke-free generation!
Facilities on campus
The VU campus is more than just a place to work and study. It is a vibrant meeting place with restaurants, shops, sports and culture.
The KinderRijk childcare centre in Boechorststraat is located on campus. You can go to Bar Boele and Grand Café Living for lunch, drinks or dinner after work. Fancy a quick snack and a coffee? Stop by the SPAR University or the Doppio coffee bar.
Do you want to publish your thesis or another book, buy a book or provide study resources? Welcome to the VU Bookstore and VU University Press.
Sport and culture
But the campus has even more to offer. Apart from a beach volleyball court or a basketball court, there is the VU Sports Centre, which offers free sports activities to staff. Or VU Griffioen, the cultural centre of the VU. Do you prefer the cinema? Then the Rialto VU is the place for you.
