The campus is located in the heart of the Zuidas, near train station Amsterdam Zuid and easily accessible by public transport, bike and car. We have state-of-the-art education and research facilities, and we are a hub for start-ups and knowledge enterprises.

Green
The renovated and eco-friendly Campus Square has become one of the greenest locations of the Zuidas. With trees, perennial plants, green roofs and water management systems, we create an enjoyable microclimate and contribute to biodiversity.
Sustainability is a core theme of the VU strategy. So we set a high bar and we want to be transparent. The campus is our testing ground for sustainable innovation.
Smoke-free
The VU Campus is fully smoke-free - for a healthy working environment for everyone. With this, we contribute to a Smoke-free Generation.
Amenities on campus
The VU Campus is a vibrant place: cafes and restaurants (Bar Boele, Grand Café Living, Doppio), childcare (KinderRijk), VU Bookstore and VU University Press. And for groceries: SPAR University.

Sports and culture
But the campus has more to offer. Beside a beach volleyball field and a basketball field, there is the Sportcentre VU, where you as an employee can work out for a small fee of €25 per year. Or discover VU Griffioen, VU Amsterdam's cultural centre. Do you prefer movies? Then Rialto VU is the place for you.
