The huge challenges society is facing today, demand fundamental solutions. Our scientists are putting all their time and energy into finding such solutions, guided by value-driven interdisciplinary methodologies. They move science forward in their own research, in valorisation, and by training new generations of socially engaged world citizens. They in turn will make valuable contributions to a sustainable, healthy future with their knowledge and sense of entrepreneurship.

You will work together with students, PhD candidates and researchers, who all share a professional focus combined with a broad view of the world. We are proud of our collegial working climate, characterised by committed staff, a pragmatic attitude and involvement in the greater whole. The faculty is home to over 11,000 students enrolled in 40 study programmes. It employs over 1,600 professionals spread across 10 academic departments. This makes us the biggest faculty of sciences in the Netherlands.
